Another Kerkez in the Netherlands: Liverpool star’s brother joins Fortuna Sittard | OneFootball

Fortuna Sittard have announced the arrival of Marko Kerkez. The brother of Liverpool full-back Milos joins from Partizan Belgrade and has signed a contract until the summer of 2026 with an option for an additional season.

“I’ve heard a lot of positive things from my brother about the Netherlands and the Eredivisie,” said the 25-year-old Serbian. “When I heard about Fortuna’s interest, the decision was made quickly. I’m happy to be here and I’m really looking forward to this new challenge.”

Kerkez has played for various clubs in Austria, Hungary, Serbia, and Greece and joined Telstar on trial in the summer of 2022, but did not secure a contract. The left-back spent the past six months on loan at Aris Saloniki. Now, he signs for Fortuna Sittard, a day after Indonesian international Justin Hubner signed a multi-year contract.
