The Sky Blues have already bolstered their squad this month by signing four players.

Sean Maguire recently sealed a permanent move to the Coventry Building Society Arena following a spell with Preston North End.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Luke McNally meanwhile have all joined Coventry on temporary deals.

Coventry managed to deliver the perfect response to their recent defeat to Norwich City as they claimed a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend.

Goals from Gustavo Hamer and Kasey Palmer sealed all three points for the Sky Blues who are now only four points adrift of the play-off places.

Making reference to the possibility of incomings, Robins has revealed that the club are still hoping to complete one more deal.

Speaking to Coventry Live, Robins said: “I am always hopeful but I don’t know.

We have had one where we have been spinning plates but there’s not one where we have set out to go and do something.

“We set out to do one or two bits and pieces and it didn’t come off. We have brought in the four players we have spoken about.

“There maybe one more that we were going to do, or potentially in the summer, but I don’t know is the honest answer.”

The Verdict

Set to face West Bromwich Albion on Friday, it will be interesting to see whether Coventry engage in any transfer business before this fixture takes place.

The arrival of an individual who knows exactly what it takes to deliver the goods at this level could potentially boost the Sky Blues’ hopes of reaching the play-offs later this year.

Coventry will also be aiming to retain the services of Viktor Gyokeres amid interest from Everton.

As revealed exclusively by Football League World last week, the Toffees are believed to be keen on making a late move for Coventry’s top-scorer who is valued at £18m.
