According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Coventry boss Robins has been put on Burnley’s shortlist to replace Kompany.

He would be accompanied by former Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole as assistant manager.

He also led his team to the FA Cup semi-final this season, where they gave Manchester United a run for their money.

It now remains to be seen what decision is taken by the Burnley decision-makers regarding the managerial position at the end of the season.
