Marius Wolf has welcomed the fresh approach of Marco Rose that has seen the midfielder revive his Borussia Dortmund career this season.
The 26-year-old joined BVB from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018, but spent the last two terms out on loan at Hertha BSC and Köln.
Many would have expected Wolf to move on with yet another change of manager in the summer, but the former Germany U-20 international has actually been far more involved than previously.
“A lot has changed with the new coaching team. For me it was a chance that it would start again from scratch, that I could do everything again,” Wolf told Dortmund club media.
The former Hannover man appreciates Rose’s upfront manner, which Wolf claims was not the way things were done prior to the 45-year-old’s arrival.
“In previous years, it was not the case for me personally that I was spoken to openly,” he said.
Wolf made his second start of the Bundesliga campaign last weekend in the 3-1 win at Arminia Bielefeld, and will be hoping to retain his place for Saturday’s clash with his old colleagues Köln.
