Rashford once again came off the bench for FC Barcelona in their 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano.
Moments after he entered the fray, the home side equalised from a corner kick after Lamine Yamal had given Barca a 1-0 lead from the penalty spot in the first half.
The Catalans lost momentum and it was Vallecano who pushed harder for the winner, coming agonisingly close twice.
Rashford played 28 minutes and could only manage one shot off target.
He also failed to spark many attacks as he only completed one of his three dribble attempts.
The 27-year-old winger did create one key pass but only completed six during his total time on the pitch as his side searched for a winner.
The winger also lost two out of his three grounds duels and did not compete in any aerial battles.
There was better news for United as their new French starlet Enzo Kana-Biyik got his first minutes of the season for FC Lausanne.
The youngster signed for the Red Devils at the start of the summer from Le Havre but was immediately loaned to Lausanne. Unfortunately, he picked up an injury in pre-season but has now returned to fitness.
The forward was introduced into the action in the 76th minute of play.
Lausanne fell to a 1-2 defeat against St.Gallen but the 18-year-old had one shot on target.
Late on in the game, the ball broke to him in the box but he could only guide a shot from the left hand side of the box right at the keeper.
Apart from this big chance missed, he struggled to get involved, only completing one pass out of five attempts.
He did complete one of his two aerial duels and will be keen to get into the starting line up as soon as possible after the international break.
