Fulham boss Marco Silva has again called for the club to bolster his squad before the transfer deadline.
The transfer window shuts on September 1 and Fulham have only made one permanent signing as of yet – goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte.
Silva has been vocal about his disappointment in the lack of signings and reiterated his desire for new faces before next week’s deadline.
Speaking about the situation, the Portuguese boss said: “I don’t want to go into why it’s been difficult. We have to (make signings). When you leave things to the final stages, it’s not in your control anymore.
“With time, you can take better decisions and not mistakes.”
Fulham owner Shahid Khan discussed the club’s summer, writing in the match programme for the game against Manchester United: “It was a summertime priority to protect the nucleus of the squad that set a Fulham record last year for most Premier League points, and we did by extending the stays of Kenny Tete and our long time captain, Tom Cairney.
“We will continue – as we always do at this time of the year – to explore all options to strengthen our squad.”
There are only six days left before the window shuts, and Fulham are searching for attacking reinforcements after the departures of Willian and Carlos Vinicius.
