Manu Kone on Claudio Ranieri’s impact: “I needed him.” | OneFootball

Roma midfielder Manu Kone gave a lengthy interview to Sky Sport where he spoke about Claudio Ranieri’s importance to the team.

When asked about the veteran technician’s impact, Kone said, “Mister Ranieri is a great coach, he has a lot of international experience and has done well everywhere.”

“He encourages me a lot in every training session, he suggests how to position myself on the pitch and how to improve my tactics.”

“The fact that we can speak French is a great help, we have direct communication and he manages to encourage me in the right way.”

“We all needed him during the season, me in particular,” added Kone.

“Ghisolfi? He is a very important person for me,” said Kone of the Roma sporting director. “He was the one who wanted me here at Roma, who showed me how much the club wanted to focus on me.”

“We talk every day, even before and after games. He encourages me a lot, because he knows me and knows that I can improve. Speaking the same language has helped us build a good relationship, I am happy to be able to work with him here at Roma.”
