Bayern needed just a couple of minutes to draw a penalty against their MLS foes and they allowed Mané to take the attempt from 12 yards.

Mané would smash the ball past Jon Kempin to quickly score his first goal in a Bayern shirt.

Less than ten minutes later, Bayern had doubled their lead through Marcel Sabitzer. Sabitzer collected the ball from Serge Gnabry and provided a cool finish into the bottom corner.

Just before the end of the first half, it was Gnabry himself who would get on the scoresheet, firing the ball to the left of Kempin to make it three.

Matthijs de Ligt would step onto the pitch for his Bayern Munich debut in the second half and wasted no time impressing the Bayern fans, smashing home a corner in the 47th minute.

Joshua Zirkzee would add Bayern’s fifth just a few minutes later, tapping home a ball from Kingsley Coman after a well-worked piece of team play.

However, Bayern would be denied the clean sheet as Skage Simonsen would tap the ball in past Sven Ulrich after the original shot from DC United youngester Theodore Ku-DiPietro came off a defender and the post.

Ku-DiPietro would also score his first-ever goal for the club just before full-time.

Thomas Müller would complete the scoring in the 92nd minute following a lovely assist by debutant Ryan Gravenberch.

It wasn’t the best of nights for Bayern, however, as de Ligt would come off injured in the 74th minute. The severity of the blow is not yet known.

Bayern will continue their pre-season tour this weekend against Manchester City.
