Ruben Amorim has spent big on upgrading his forward this summer, with well in excess of £200million being forked out for Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The trio have contributed two goals in four games so far.

That leaves United needing to shift their deadwood, in the form of Antony and Rasmus Hojlund.

Reports on Monday morning confirm that Antony is set to rejoin Real Betis on a permanent deal after a successfull loan spell last season.

Negotiations have been ongoing for weeks, and at the end of last week looked set to collapse, but BBC Sport report that United will pocked £19m, with a further £2.6m in bonus, and get 50 per cent profit of any sale.

Antony is expected to seal his Old Trafford exit on Deadline Day, and so will Hojlund.

According to various reports, the Dane is in Naples looking to tie for a loan-to-buy deal with Napoli.

The Serie A side has agreed a loan fee is more than £5m and the obligation price is £38m (€44m) if they qualify for the Champions League via their league finish this season.

That is two out of the door, but Mainoo will not follow them despite being keen to leave on loan.

The Athletic reported last week that Mainoo told United he wishes to leave temporarily in search of more regular first-team minutes, having fallen down the pecking order under Amorim.

But BBC Sport report that United at standing their ground as the clock ticks down, despite many interested parties.

Regarding incomings, United are in talks with two goalkeepers.

According to multiple reports, United are still talks with Royal Antwerp to sign Senne Lammens, but progress has stalled. That has led them to reigniting interest in Aston Villa's Emi Martinez.

That has also seen Villa open talks with Antwerp for Lammens, and have an interest in Diogo Costa, who they will sign if Martinez leaves.

Martinez is said to have agreed personal terms with United and was left out of the club’s 3-0 home loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday. Plenty to still be decided.
