Manchester United rule out move for free agent Yusuf Yazici

Manchester United’s midfield looks to be lacking in depth and is one major injury away from a full-blown crisis while their big-name star seems to be crumbling under the weight of expectations.

Casemiro was seen struggling against Liverpool with fans calling for Erik ten Hag to hand new recruit Manuel Ugarte his debut after the international break.

But with Mason Mount injured and Christian Eriksen not having the same influence on the pitch as before due to his ageing legs, the club could be in big danger if Kobbie Mainoo is injured.

He looks close to burnout and the club will need to manage his minutes well. It certainly looks like the Red Devils have not replaced Scott McTominay adequately.

Midfield looks light at the moment

That is why INEOS have been linked with a move for free agent Adrien Rabiot despite his age but his wage demands mean a move remains unlikely despite the gaping hole in the midfield.

The Frenchman is not the only free agent linked with a move to Old Trafford as The Peoples Person recently relayed that former Lille magician Yusuf Yazici has also been offered to the club.

In fact, multiple Premier League sides were offered the chance to sign the Turk while Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and AC Milan are also vying for his signature.

English sides need to make room in their 25-man squad to sign a free agent and as per TBR Football, the team from Manchester have failed to do so.

If they would have moved on either of Casemiro or Eriksen, a space would have opened up but their failure to do so means the Turkish international will not be joining them.

“TBR Football understand Yusuf Yazici’s agents are in talks with a host of Premier League clubs as they inform them of his availability.

“Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are keen to take him back to Turkey but the player is keen on playing in England or Italy in the short-term. AC Milan are interested with his former Lille boss Paulo Fonseca keen, as are fellow Serie A duo Lazio and Atalanta.

“In terms of the English interest, most of the Premier League have been made aware but the main problem now is who is going to have room in their 25-man squad.

United will not sign Yazici

“Manchester United were one of those sides who were aware of him and liked him, but they won’t have room with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Antony and Casemiro remaining at the club.”

The Turkiye international can play out wide on either flank and even upfront as well, netting 12 times last season while registering four assists as well.

He’s only 27, which makes him one of the youngest free agents out there in the market and he still has enormous ability as seen from his double digit goals in two out of the last four seasons.

Whether United live to regret this choice remains to be seen. Rumours regarding Rabiot also refuse to disappear. It will be interesting to see how INEOS look at things should Erik ten Hag fail to ignite a turnaround in form soon.
