Manchester United are reportedly ready to confirm Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new permanent manager during the upcoming international break.
Following his appointment as interim boss in December, the 46-year-old has won a remarkable 14 games, drawing two and losing two.
According to Mirror Football, Solskjaer is the ‘only contender’ for the post with United officials in full agreement at board level.
The Norwegian has also been involved in transfer discussions with chief executive Ed Woodward as plans continue being drawn for next season.
In order to appoint Solskjaer, United will also be forced to pay Molde a compensation package of around €10m to break his contract.
The Old Trafford club face Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, before hosting Wolves in the Premier League on March 30.
