Lucía García netted a brace while Ella Toone and Rachel Williams were also on target as The Red Devils ended their wait for a first major domestic trophy.
Manchester United were the more dangerous side in the first half with aerial threats from corner kicks being a particular feature. Williams twice sent headers narrowly wide from corners in the early stages of the game before Lucía García was also unlucky after challenging for a ball in the six-yard box. Millie Turner was next to provide danger on the end of a corner but her header was cleared off the line by Martha Thomas.
The two sides looked set to go into the break deadlocked, however, Toone had other ideas. She unleashed a rocket of a shot from 20 yards which nestled in the top corner of the Spurs net.
Manchester United doubled their lead early in the second half when Williams headed home from a free-kick. The game was done and dusted just minutes later when Spurs keeper Becky Spencer handed Lucía García a gift, the Spaniard firing the ball into an unguarded net from just a few yards.
To their credit, Spurs didn’t let their heads drop and they were unlucky not to pull a goal back when Beth England’s header rattled the crossbar.
With Spurs needing goals, Manchester United continued to find space in the opposition back-line. Melvine Malard saw an effort blocked by Spencer before Lucía García completed her brace with a clinical finish from 12 yards.
The final 15 minutes produced little in the way of quality chances with Manchester United ending the contest as emphatic 4-0 winners.
