Manchester United are reportedly intensifying their pursuit of Napoli’s central defender, Kim Min-jae, and are prepared to table a substantial offer, according to Foot Mercato.

Napoli’s dominant Serie A campaign this season, ending a 30-year title drought, has brought attention to standout players like Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, Kim Min-jae’s contributions have been equally crucial, if not more so, in the heart of Napoli’s defense. The South Korean joined the club last summer for a mere €18 million, a fee that now appears a bargain considering his exceptional performances.

Kim, previously a Rennes transfer target in the summer, rapidly established himself as one of Italy and Europe’s top defenders. In 33 Serie A appearances this season, he displayed his solidity, intelligence, and positional awareness while contributing two goals and two assists, with just four yellow cards. The 26-year-old’s impact has not gone unnoticed, with recent reports revealing Liverpool’s interest in him, while Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed potential interest.

However, it is Manchester United who are reportedly displaying the strongest desire to secure Kim’s services.
