“Now focus is on midfielder. Goalkeeper can be a possibility, Lammens from Antwerp remains a name on the list.”

Lammens’ Impressive Rise In Belgian Football

Lammens managed to catch the eye with his performances in between the sticks for Royal Antwerp in the Jupiler Pro League last season. He played in 44 matches for the Belgian club in the previous campaign, shipping in 56 goals and securing ten clean sheets across various competitions.

The 23-year-old managed to prove his worth as one of the top keepers in Belgium. However, it remains to be seen whether he can replicate his good form in the Premier League if Man United manage to bring him on board this summer.

His current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2027, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Snap Lammens Up?

Lammens is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make some decent saves at the back for his team. He usually clears his lines when being chased down by the opposition attackers.

Standing at 1.93m, the Belgian sensation can be a dominant presence inside his penalty box. However, he might struggle to adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to land him this summer.

Lammens would no doubt add more quality to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s backline. He would serve as an upgrade over Andre Onana, who struggled to find consistency at the Mancunian club last season.

At 23, Lammens has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a great fit for Amorim’s needs in the long run. Furthermore, he could help the Red Devils get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years. With all things considered, Amorim should focus on going all out to bring Lammens to Old Trafford this summer.
