Saturday 5th December, 1964- Manchester United 0-1 Leeds United

A string of enforced changes were made by Don Revie, as the Whites headed to Old Trafford on their return to the First Division following promotion the previous season. Neat combination play between Billy Bremner and Johnny Giles saw the latter play the ball to Bobby Collins. He in turn played in Terry Cooper, who hit a powerful shot on goal. The shot wasn’t held by Dunne in Manchester United net, allowing the Collins to fire home the rebound. The skipper’s goal was the only one of the match and topped off a fine performance.

Wednesday 31st March 1965- Leeds United 1-0 Manchester United

After Leeds and Manchester United had played out a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup semi-final at Hillsborough five days earlier, the two sides met again in a replay at the City Ground, Nottingham.  As in the first match, Leeds were excellent defensively throughout, with fine performances from Bobby Collins and Jack Charlton, up against his younger brother Bobby.  At the death, Jonny Giles whipped a free-kick into the Manchester United box and Whites midfielder Billy Bremner, with his back to goal, superbly headed home, sending the travelling Leeds fans wild and the club into the FA Cup final for the first time.

Saturday 3rd May, 1980- Leeds United 2-0 Manchester United

For Leeds, the season was over in terms of competing for important position in the league table as they were safely position in the middle of the 22 team division. For Manchester United however, this game was massive, as they looked to secure the title ahead of Liverpool. For Leeds, this added even more incentive to an already heated encounter. In just the fourteenth minute, Derek Parlane was perfectly position to fire home a cross and put the Whites ahead. When Leeds were awarded a penalty 20 minutes from time, up stepped Kevin Hird who made no mistake from the spot and the victory was secured. Manchester United missed out on the title to Liverpool, by two points.

Saturday 24th December, 1995- Leeds United 3-1 Manchester United

The best possible Christmas present that every Leeds United fan could have hoped for and it was served up a day early. Howard Wilkinson’s side had not enjoyed much success over their arch rivals in recent years, so this victory was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all. Gary McAllister kicked off the scoring inside five minutes from the penalty spot, before the visitors equalised through Andy Cole. Tony Yeboah didn’t allow the game to be level for long by putting the Whites back in the lead with a great run and finish, then Brian Deane secured the points in the second half with a well placed header.

Sunday 3rd January, 2010- Manchester United 0-1 Leeds United

An FA Cup tie that saw Simon Grayson take his League One promotion hopefuls to Old Trafford, to face Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side for the first meeting between the side in six years. A memorable occasion was hoped for, but not expected, with forty-two places currently separating the sides. When Johnny Howson’s clever pass was picked up and superbly finished by Jermaine Beckford in the 19th minute, it sent thousands of travelling Leeds fans into raptures. In truth, the Whites could have won by more, but one was enough to secure a memorable victory.
