In a recent report, Manchester Evening News mentioned that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong. It is understood that the Red Devils are planning to move in for the Dutch midfielder during the summer transfer window.

De Jong is having another impressive season at the Nou Camp where he has continued to produce a run of consistent displays at the heart of Xavi’s midfield. The Dutch sensation has performed well to average 1.1 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 0.5 clearances, 0.5 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per game in La Liga. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after making 91.3% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
