Manchester United have completed the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion forward Elisabeth Terland on a two-year deal with the option of a further year.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this morning.

Terland has spent the last two seasons with Brighton & Hove Albion after joining the club from Norwegian Toppserien side SK Brann. The forward has gone on to score 20 goals in 39 Barclays Women’s Super League games for The Seagulls.

On the international stage, Terland is a member of the Norwegian national team. She has scored nine goals in 34 outings for her country at senior level.

The 23-year-old is an exciting talent and she will be hoping to make a significant impact for new club Manchester United over the next two years.

After completing her move to the Leigh Sports Village, Terland said “I’m so honoured to sign for Manchester United and cannot wait to join up with the team. Having experienced their excellent fans from the opposing side, I’m really looking forward to having them in my corner this season.”

Terland becomes Manchester United’s third signing of the summer transfer window following the recent additions of Dutch defender Dominique Janssen and French forward Melvine Malard.
