Manchester City continue their preparations for the new campaign with a pre-season clash against Barcelona at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola’s side will face Barcelona in their penultimate pre-season friendly, with Manchester City still looking for the first win of their four-match tour of the United States, following successive defeats to both AC Milan and Celtic.

The Sky Blues suffered a 2-3 loss to AC Milan at the Yankee Stadium in New York City over the weekend, as Erling Haaland and James McAtee both scored against the Serie A heavyweights during the slender defeat.

Manchester City have travelled to Florida for their third friendly of the pre-season tour, with the Premier League champions scheduled to play Barcelona and Chelsea before returning to the UK ahead of the FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium next month.

Croatian pair Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol joined the Manchester City squad in New York, although no further players have joined Guardiola’s side ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Barcelona.

The upcoming clash will be Barcelona’s first pre-season fixture, with the Catalan club also scheduled to play Real Madrid and AC Milan during their tour of the US this summer.

Manchester City take on FC Barcelona at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Tuesday 30 July, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 EDT or 00:00 on Wednesday 31 July for viewers in the United Kingdom.

Pep Guardiola has no injury concerns ahead of the midweek friendly clash against Barcelona in the United States, with first-team stars such as Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Ederson, Oscar Bobb and Rico Lewis all available to start.

Kovacic and Gvardiol could also get more minutes under their belts, having joining the squad following participation in the European Championship.

Manchester City have won just one of the six previous competitive matches against the Spanish giants, beating Barcelona 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in November 2016, courtesy of an Ilkay Gundogan brace and Sergio Aguero goal.
