Manchester City will increase the number of Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures to be played at the Etihad Stadium in 2024/2025.

The Cityzens announced the news via a post on their official club website yesterday afternoon.

It has been reported that Manchester City will stage three of their 11 home league fixtures at the club’s main stadium. The matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea will all take place at the Etihad Stadium. The move will help Manchester City grow the fanbase of their women’s team whilst also allowing the players to become more familiar with playing in the main stadium.

In recent seasons, Manchester City have opted to stage the Manchester derby against neighbours Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. Fans have turned up in big numbers with 40,086 having attended last season’s fixture, a 3-1 win for the hosts.

Manchester City’s next Etihad Stadium appearance will be against Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend of 8-10 November 2024. The Cityzens will then face Manchester United at their main stadium on the weekend of 17-19 January 2025 and Chelsea on the weekend of 21-23 March 2025. Final dates and kick-off times will be confirmed in due course.

‘Hat-Trick Pack’ tickets for the three Etihad Stadium games will go on-sale on Monday along with single match tickets for the Tottenham Hotspur fixture. Season ticket holders will also be able to select their seats for all three games free of charge.
