Manchester City Star ‘Has No Equal’ In Certain Aspect Says Former Champions League Winner | OneFootball

Former Champions League winning goalkeeper Julio Cesar believes when it comes to ability with his feet, Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson has no competition.

Back in 2017, the Cityzens paid a hefty £35m for the Brazilian shot-stopper and he has been an integral part of the team since.

His ability with his feet during build-up play and his calmness during pressure situations has received praise over the years.

The 31-year-old has seen massive success during his time at Cityzens and has made 350 appearances for the Premier League giants.

Julio Cesar insisted that there is no one close to Ederson when it comes to showing calmness and ability on the ball as a goalkeeper.

“I really like Ederson. I know him very well”, the former Brazil goalkeeper said on the Charla podcast (via Torcedores) about the Manchester City star.

“Ederson is the best with his feet. He doesn’t need any comments on that aspect. He has no equal.

“He is a very bold goalkeeper, he comes out of goal very well and he is courageous.

“I really like him.”

Ederson, though, has not been Pep Guardiola’s clear number 1 this season as Stefan Ortega has also played a lot of games.
