Manchester City intend to host a city centre parade to celebrate Sunday’s historic Premier League title win irrespective of the Emirates FA Cup Final result.

Pep Guardiola’s side clinched an historic fourth successive Premier League title on Sunday afternoon, beating West Ham United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium to secure a sixth English top-flight title in seven years.

Manchester City moved into an early 2-0 lead after sublime efforts from Phil Foden, with Rodri restoring the two-goal cushion in the second-half, after Mohammed Kudus halved the deficit with an acrobatic effort before half-time.

The Sky Blues beat Arsenal to the Premier League title for a second consecutive season, with Manchester City finishing two points ahead of Mikel Arteta’s side, after registering 28 wins, seven draws and three losses to surpass the 90-point mark.

Sunday’s Premier League title success was Manchester City’s third trophy of the season, with the Cityzens having also won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup this campaign.

Guardiola has now won 17 major trophies at the Etihad Stadium, with the potential for the 2023/24 campaign to be the 53-year-olds penultimate at the club, as the Catalan is out of contract at the end of next season.

The Manchester City boss could still add another Emirates FA Cup trophy to his collection however, as the Blues face local rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup Final next weekend at Wembley Stadium.

However, the Manchester City first-team squad will celebrate this season’s achievements with a city centre parade next weekend, irrespective of the result of next weekend’s FA Cup Final, journalist Jack Gaughan has revealed.

The trophy parade will take place on Sunday 26th May, between 7:30PM and 9PM, running from the National Football Museum through Cathedral Gardens and along Deansgate, according to Simon Bajkowski.

City beat Erik ten Hag’s side in last season’s final, after an Ilkay Gundogan brace helped the Blues to an historic 2-1 win, as part of last season’s treble triumph.
