It’s hardly news that Manchester City score a lot of goals at the Etihad Stadium, but tonight they have broken another major European competition home record.

With their first-half goals against FC Copenhagen, Pep Guardiola’s side have become the first-ever to score three or more goals in nine consecutive games in one of Europe’s elite competitions.

Some of those three-goal hauls have come against the biggest and best on the continent, including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich last season on their way to lifting their first Champions League title.
