Now David Ornstein has reported for the Athletic that City have held initial talks with AC Milan over a summer move for Tijjani Reijnders.

David Ornstein and James Horncastle have reported for The Athletic that Manchester City are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Tijjani Reijnders. Furthermore, Ornstein and Horncastle report that City have contacted AC Milan to register their interest in signing the Dutch international. Ornstein adds that talks between the two clubs are at an early stage. For now, AC Milan’s focus is on the Coppa Italia final against Bologna. It is further reported by Ornstein that Manchester City are confident of sealing a deal for the AC Milan midfielder when talks between the two clubs resume. As of now, Manchester City have yet to submit a formal offer to sign Tijjani Reijnders as per Ornstein’s report.

It now appears that Manchester City are wasting no time ahead of the summer transfer window. There is an opportunity for the club to get a head start on its summer business. The June transfer window opens on the 1st of June. It closes on the 10th of June before reopening on the 16th of June.
