Manchester United winger Daniel James has the longest scoring drought in the Premier League.

The Mirror reports James has the longest goal drought of any player since he became a top flight star.

The Welshman made the move from Swansea last summer and got off to a flyer with a goal on his debut against Chelsea.

He went on to notch three times in his opening four games, but has struggled since scoring at Southampton in August 2019 and finds himself battling for a start.

James' current goalless run stretches back 32 games, which may underline why the likes of Mason Greenwood have leapfrogged him in the pecking order.

Research from bettingexpert has analysed which Premier League stars have been struggling for potency and highlights the difficulties experienced by some highly talented individuals.

The United winger's concerning numbers are nearly matched by Tottenham's Giovani Lo Celso.

He moved to north London from Real Betis last summer, but is still searching for his first Premier League goal.

Everton duo Alex Iwobi and Tom Davies are also struggling to find the back of the net.

The former moved from Arsenal last summer and scored earlier on in his Toffees career, but has failed to add to that tally in 28 games.

Davies meanwhile hasn't scored in his past 27 outings.
