Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

The 32-year-old was reportedly offered a contract worth £18million-a-year by an unnamed club in the Middle Eastern nation.

But according to Spanish news outlet AS, Mata wants to stay at United because he believes the club are close to winning a trophy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has barely picked Mata for Premier League games this season.
