Manchester United are prepared to look elsewhere as a deal for Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid seems unlikely.
According to The Telegraph, United are not willing to spend £20 million or more on Trippier, given he is 31 and would have next to no resale value.
Trippier only signed for Atletico in 2019 and helped the team win La Liga this past season.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants to keep Trippier and would only sell him if United made an offer that is too good to turn down.
United may look at targets such as Max Aarons from Norwich City instead.
