Manchester United have expressed a keen interest in Feyenoord’s goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, according to Dutch outlet 1908.NL.

Despite the English club’s pursuit, Feyenoord are hopeful that the 25-year-old shot-stopper will commit to a new contract and remain with the Eredivisie champions.

Bijlow recorded 12 clean sheets in 25 league appearances last season.

With David de Gea set to depart as a free agent when his contract expires, the Premier League giants have been actively searching for a replacement.

United were reportedly focused on securing the services of Andre Onana from Inter Milan, but their pursuit of the Cameroonian goalkeeper may face obstacles.

If they encounter difficulties signing Onana, Bijlow could become an alternative option for the Red Devils.

However, Feyenoord are optimistic about retaining Bijlow’s services and are eager for him to sign a contract extension.

The promising goalkeeper has two years left on his existing deal. Feyenoord will likely demand a transfer fee above €15 million to part ways with their prized asset.

Since joining Feyenoord, Bijlow has accumulated 119 appearances for the club. He has kept 45 clean sheets.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, drawing interest from several top European clubs.

United are pushing to sign Onana but may struggle to meet Inter Milan’s €60 million valuation.

f they cannot agree a deal with the Nerazzurri, the Dutch international is on their radar.

Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag knows both men well from his time in the Eredivisie. He will make an informed choice on which player to target.
