Manchester United have pulled out of the race to sign Marko Arnautović, however a deal for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is edging closer.
This is according to The Athletic, who have reported that the Red Devils have opted against signing Arnautović due to issues over the price set by Bologna and after receiving complaints from a number of fans over the potential arrival of the 33-year-old.
United had been linked with a move for the former Stoke and West Ham striker over the weekend and had a €8m bid turned down.
The club will now turn their attention to other attacking targets.
However, one deal that looks like it is getting closer to pulling over the line is the one for Rabiot.
United are in talks with Juventus over the transfer of the 27-year-old with the expectation a €20m fee could be agreed.
