Man Utd pre-season 2022/23: How to watch, schedule, fixtures and more

After a two-year hiatus, Manchester United will partake in a pre-season tour ahead of the new Premier League season.
Just like other teams, the English giants had to put their travelling plans on hold as the Covid-19 pandemic shut down parts of the world, meaning United had to settle for playing pre friendlies on home soil.
Now, following a disastrous season and a new manager at the helm United will jet off to several parts of the world, adding much delight to their support bases outside of the UK.
United’s pre-season tour would also give Erik ten Hag a full view of his new team as they look to become title contenders once again, domestically and on the European stage. The Red Devils finished the season in 6th position with 58 points, something fans were not too pleased with.
So, if you want to follow United during their pre-season campaign, GiveMeSport has you covered, here’s everything you need to know.
With about 60 plus days to go until the start of the new campaign, United will be hoping to get much done not only on the business side but on the pitch as well as travel to counties where their fan base is high in numbers.
Manchester United have always been proper in pre-season games, whether it’s playing against the likes of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils will head to familiar territory, Bangkok, Thailand where they will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool on 12th July in the Rajamangala stadium.
Ten Hag and the squad will then travel to Melbourne, Australia to take on the A-league side Melbourne Victory on 15th July. United will also play against another Premier League team in the form of Crystal Palace at the same venue on 19th July. Both games will be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
To round out their Australian trip, the squad will face Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa on 23rd July at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
The Red Devils will then face Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, Norway, on 30th July before returning home.
Manchester United supporters can watch their team’s pre-season matches on the club’s official TV channel, MUTV, as it will broadcast every game. However, the friendlies in Thailand and Australia will not be broadcast due to exclusive TV rights.
Supporters in respective countries can also purchase tickets on the official Man Utd website.
United fans will still have to wait to see who they will face in their first Premier League match, however, the new campaign is set to kick off on 6th August 2022.
Premier League fixtures will be released in June 2022, giving teams a good time to prepare themselves for the season ahead.
