Which players have scored the most goals against Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool in the last five years?

If you support one of those clubs, you probably have a good understanding of which players stick the ball in your net the most.

But an interesting graphic has emerged that shows the 10 top goalscorers against clubs in the Premier League. And it throws up some fascinating results.

While the top strikers in the Premier League feature, there are also some quirks as unlikely goalscorers make a habit of scoring against the same club.

And then there’s Harry Maguire, who is the 10th top goalscorer AGAINST Manchester United in the last five years…

10 players who have scored the most vs Arsenal

Diogo Jota, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy share the honour of scoring the most against Arsenal in the last five years. More Liverpool players follow with Mohamed Salah (7), Roberto Firmino (7) and former Red Sadio Mane (5) loving a goal against the Gunners.

Interestingly, Jesse Lingard makes the top 10 also with five goals to his name alongside Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Son Heung-min.

10 players who have scored the most vs Man City

Scoring against Man City in the last five years certainly hasn’t been an easy task but Salah has managed it on nine occasions in all competitions, closely followed by Mane on eight. Vardy – who scored a hat-trick against Pep Guardiola’s men in 2020 – is level with Son on six.

Martial has managed five despite his injury issues, while Lyon’s Maxwel Cornet and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema have had joy in the Champions League with four goals a piece.

Firmino, RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku and Rashford have all scored three.

10 players who have scored the most vs Man Utd

Again, Salah tops the list with a massive TEN goals against Man Utd in the last five years. The hat-trick at Old Trafford last season certainly helped that tally.

But there are a few interesting names that appear on this list.

Brighton’s Pascal Gross has six goals against United in the last five years and is in second place.

Jota and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have four each.

Then there’s a host of players on three goals. Erling Haaland’s hat-trick at the Etihad earlier this season sees him make the list alongside a host of Man City players – Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva.

Son and… Harry Maguire own goal also make the top 10. That’s right, Maguire is in the top 10 for goals scored against Manchester United in the last five years…

10 players who have scored the most vs Chelsea

Mane tops the list with six strikes against Chelsea while playing for Liverpool. Benzema, Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne are joint with… Callum Robinson.

Robinson scored back-to-back braces against the Blues while playing for West Brom to add to his strike while playing for Sheffield United. He has just six Premier League goals to his name – and five of them came against the west London side.

Less surprising names complete the top 10 with Salah, Rashford and Martial.

Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi have also scored three each in Champions League games.

10 players who have scored the most vs Tottenham

Familiar faces, Salah and Vardy, lead the way with seven goals each against Spurs. Sterling, Cristiano Ronaldo and Danny Ings are just one goal behind.

Firmino, Aubameyang and Ilkay Gundogan have five goals, while Serge Gnabry is on four – scoring all four in a Champions League tie in 2019.

Rashford also has four.

Rashford against features, proving he’s a big-game player with six goals against Liverpool.

Leandro Trossard’s recent hat-trick at Anfield sees him level with Vardy, Kane and Jesus on five goals against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Leroy Sane, Son and Ollie Watkins have managed four – the Villa striker grabbed a hat-trick during THAT 7-2 victory at Villa Park.

Vinicius Junior and Gabriel Martinelli have also scored three against Liverpool since the 2017/18 campaign.
