Man Utd fans boo Ronaldo before Brighton kickoff

Manchester United fans booed Cristiano Ronaldo before kickoff against Brighton today.

The 37-year-old was left on the bench by manager Erik ten Hag having spent the summer pushing for a move away, and a section of supporters gave him a frosty reception when he first appeared.

Video footage - uploaded to social media by the club - shows fans going wild for the team as they emerge from the tunnel for the warm up, though the cheers turn to boos once Ronaldo steps onto the pitch.

On social media, fans were split over the crowd's response.
