Man Utd encouraged as Xavi admits Barcelona may need to sell De Jong

Barcelona coach Xavi admits they may need to sell Frenkie de Jong this summer.
The Dutch midfielder is rumoured to be wanted by incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, who worked with De Jong at Ajax before the player's 2019 move to Spain.
While a transfer exit is not Xavi's preference, the Barcelona boss has stated that De Jong's future may be taken out of his hands.
“For me he is very important," Xavi told reporters on Saturday.
“He has been a starter practically every game, except when he has been rotated due to tiredness, fatigue or competition. For me he is fundamental.
“But we all depend on the economic situation of the club."
