Manchester United are sick with the injury bug once again as they have been dealt a double injury blow less than two weeks before the new season kicks off.

After both Rasmus Højlund and big-money newcomer Leny Yoro limped off in United’s preseason friendly against Arsenal over the weekend, and the Old Trafford club had hoped the injuries would not be too serious.

Unfortunately for Erik ten Hag however, The Times’ Paul Hirst has reported that Yoro will miss up to three months with a reported foot injury, while Højlund will miss six weeks with a hamstring issue.

United suffered major injury issues last season, missing a litany of first-teamers for large stretches of the campaign.

Ten Hag’s men will square off with Manchester City in the FA Community Shield in just 10 days.
