Newcastle United’s visit to Old Trafford in May will be Manchester United’s penultimate Premier League fixture of the ongoing 2023/24 season.

In the latest round of fixtures made by the Premier League and confirmed by the club, United have learned new dates and kick-off times for their crucial matches vs. the Magpies and title-chasing Arsenal.

The Gunners are set to make their way to the Theatre of Dreams on the second-to-last Sunday of the campaign, in what is shaping up to be a vital clash.

The match will start at 16:30 BST  on 12 May. Proceedings will be televised live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Arsenal who previously won the league at Old Trafford in their penultimate game of the 2001/02 season will be plotting for a repeat of the same as they seek to bring to an end their drought to the championship which has lasted for two decades.

An added motivation for Erik ten Hag and his players will be to stop these humiliating events from taking place.

The North London outfit have beaten United in their last two meetings at the Emirates Stadium but they suffered a 3-1 loss at Old Trafford last term.

The Red Devils are also poised to come up against Newcastle for the second league meeting on Wednesday 15 May. Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

The game vs. the Tyneside club was initially scheduled to take place during the FA Cup semi-final weekend but has now been moved.

Newcastle have already registered two wins against United this season – once in the league in December at St James’ Park and secondly when they knocked the 20-time English champions out of the Carabao Cup in the fourth round. The latter took place at Old Trafford.

Newcastle remain unbeaten in their last four Premier League games vs. United and it will certainly not be easy for Ten Hag’s stars to beat their rivals.

Meanwhile, United return to action this weekend when they travel to the Vitality Stadium to play against Bournemouth.
