Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries has changed representatives ahead of a potential summer exit, according to Calciomercato.
The Netherlands international has long been linked with a move away from the San Siro amid interest from the Premier League.
Chelsea and Manchester United were keen on the defender last summer. But the Blues have sorted their right-back problems, having signed Malo Gusto from Olympique Lyon, leaving United home free in the race to secure his signature.
Inter will be willing to let the 26-year-old leave the club this summer as they look to raise funds to facilitate recruitment plans.
Dumfries joined Inter from Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven in 2021 and has racked up 78 appearances in the Nerazzurri colours while contributing seven goals and 13 assists.
The versatile defender is under contract with Inter until June 2025 on a €2.5 million per year salary package, and the club are hopeful of earning around €50m from his departure.
Despite being consistently linked with a move away, Dumfries has remained a key part of Simone Inzaghi’s squad and has repaid the manager’s faith with a goal and six assists in 24 Serie A games.
Dumfries seems open to a summer departure, having decided to leave current agent Rafaela Pimenta and will now be represented by the Wasserman Group.
The defender is currently on international duty with the Netherlands and was at his creative best after assisting the first two goals in Monday’s 3-0 success over Gibraltar.
The former Sparta Rotterdam man missed the 4-0 thumping against France through suspension, having been sent off in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against Argentina in Qatar.
Dumfries will be looking to continue his rich vein of form when Inter welcomes Fiorentina to the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium after the international break.
