Manchester United are reportedly plotting to recruit Porto teenager Rodrigo Mora in a transfer that would surely appease Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese manager was appointed in November as a replacement for Erik ten Hag. Nevertheless, he’s still operating with a squad built under the tutelage of his Dutch predecessor. The only two additions made with Amorim in charge were Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven who joined the club in January.

The 17-year-old is a Porto youth product who has already cemented himself as a regular starter in the club’s first team despite his tender age. The attacking midfielder has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing his teammates with three assists.

Transfermarkt estimates the player’s value at €10 million, but reveals his contract includes a buyout clause worth €60 million.

The source describes him as a dynamic player with a strong character, as he could often be seen requesting the ball. Mora is also tactically intelligent, and has the ability to adapt to different roles in addition to his original position as an attacking midfielder, as he’s able to play on either wing.

Hence, the report insists the coveted teenager would perfectly fit within Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system. He would be an important addition in the final third, adding some much-needed depth to the attacking department.
