Manchester United learn valuation for Sevilla ace Youssef En-Nesyri amidst Arsenal interest

According to the Spanish publication Super Deporte (h/t The Hard Tackle), Manchester United have received the transfer price for Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri amidst interest from Arsenal.

En-Nesyri took some time to get a foothold at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium but has developed into a crucial player for the Spanish club. He has played nine matches this season and has scored three times while also making two assists to boott. He is yet to reach his form from last season following injury struggles.

The Moroccan gained attention when he scored 24 goals from 52 matches under Julen Lopetegui. The Red Devils could get a talented striker in him should he join them in the coming transfer windows. However, they would have to spend a decent transfer sum to get the services of the La Liga striker.

The Rojiblancos were previously not open to selling the centre-forward but has changed their stance of him. They had rejected a €30 million bid from West Ham United ahead of the current season but have now decided to let him go. That could be down to Rafa Mir, who joined them this season.

The Moroccan international has a contract until 2025 and would not be a cheap option considering the circumstances. Lopetegui’s side have put a price tag of €42million for his services which is quite expensive for someone who is yet to reach his potential.

A good option?

While he is yet to reach his stride once he regains full fitness, he is bound to replicate his usual quality. Not to mention, he is yet to reach his full potential and could become an even better player at Old Trafford. However, it could be tough to get him in January since his team is in fourth in the league and could even qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.

Some may have concerns over his quality since he does not enter the conversation among the top strikers in the world. But, he has had a gradual progression so far, and if he keeps up this trajectory, he could be peaking late in his career. He also puts a decent effort in his defensive duties and could replace Edinson Cavani moving forward.

Cavani will become a free agent in the summer, and since he has suffered from recurring injuries this season, it may be time to look past him. En-Nesyri could form a partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo like Ronaldo and Karim Benzema at Real Madrid.

With the Gunners also keeping tabs on him, we would have to decide on our interest to prevent losing him to our Premier League rivals.
