Manchester United are expecting Jadon Sancho to leave permanently this summer, according to the Telegraph.

Sancho joined the Bundesliga club on loan in January for the rest of the season.

He was dropped out of the first team after refusing to apologise to Erik ten Hag for effectively calling the manager a liar.

United paid a staggering £72.9 million to Dortmund in the summer of 2021 to acquire Sancho’s services.

However, his stay at Old Trafford has failed to reach the heights and it plummeted to a new low when he publicly lashed out against Ten Hag.

Man United are ready to slash the price for Jadon Sancho

Sancho’s strained relationship with Ten Hag could ultimately lead to his permanent exit from United.

He has faced an upturn in form since moving back to Dortmund. In 16 appearances, he has bagged three goals and an assist.

This is a huge improvement on 12 goals in 82 games he managed at United.

However, his numbers are still not good enough to what he registered during his first spell at Dortmund.

Sancho is set to feature against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.

His loan deal with the German giants does not include an option to buy.

This means he is scheduled to return to Old Trafford in July if no club step up to sign him.

Ten Hag has shown that he is unwilling to lower standards and ethics for any squad member.

Cristiano Ronaldo faced the Dutchman’s wrath in 2022, and Sancho faced it last year.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier that the German outfit are eager to retain the winger’s services beyond the summer.

However, they need to secure European football to prepare a robust offer for the Red Devils.

If Ten Hag remains as head coach of United next season, the Premier League giants are more likely to sanction Sancho’s exit.
