Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho recently helped Borussia Dortmund to progress to the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid next month.
The 24-year-old has revived his career after a tough start to the season at United. His public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag in September meant he was suspended after just three appearances.
The Red Devils decided to loan him to Dortmund in January. The move has benefited both the player and the club. Sancho has stood out for the Bundesliga outfit in several games.
United stand to receive almost €4 million in bonus payments and could be set for another windfall if Dortmund beat Madrid in the Champions League final.
Sancho winning the European competition could be the best possible outcome for United. In addition to receiving another bonus payment, Sancho’s transfer value would be enhanced.
His Transfermarkt valuation dropped to €25 million in December, but it could easily double if he were to help Dortmund win their second Champions League title.
United could also be tempted to keep him if he were to sort out his differences with Ten Hag.
The situation could be entirely different with a new manager in charge, but Ten Hag continues to receive backing from the hierarchy despite the poor run of results.
