Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at PSG became clearer following Lucas Chevalier’s arrival. The 26-year-old goalkeeper is reportedly seeking a long-term move, with Manchester City emerging as the leading contender.
L’Équipe previously revealed that Donnarumma has already reached an agreement with Manchester City and even held direct talks with Pep Guardiola. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added that Galatasaray’s interest in Ederson could pave the way for Donnarumma to join the Etihad.
Moreover, Chelsea and Manchester United were among the clubs that expressed early interest. According to a recent report from RMC Sport, though those discussions remain in the preliminary stages. Manchester City, however, remain the front-runner as the summer transfer window winds down.

L’Equipe reports that even if talks with Man City don’t materialize for now, neither PSG nor Donnarumma want him to stay at the club beyond September 1.
RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reported that PSG are ready to accept around €30 million for Donnarumma as they push for his exit.
The goalkeeper wants Manchester City, and an agreement in principle already exists. Manchester City continue talks with Galatasaray and hope to finalize Ederson’s transfer, a condition required to complete Donnarumma’s deal.

Recently, L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reported that PSG and Manchester City have made little progress in negotiations over Donnarumma. Manchester City have submitted a single offer of €15 million, well below PSG’s asking price of €25–30 million.
The English club are willing to wait until January, when the fee could be lower, or until next summer, when Donnarumma will become a free agent.
