Premier League giants Manchester City have been working to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma for weeks and are now confident about sealing a move this summer.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the Citizens had tried to sign the Italian on a free transfer but after that attempt failed, they are coming closer to signing him in the ongoing window.

They are about to offer the Italian a wage packet of €16 million and bonuses that will take the total amount to an even higher scale. They are also set to make an offer worth €30 million plus bonuses to Paris Saint-Germain in an attempt to sign the star goalkeeper.

Work is ongoing at the Etihad to quickly close the deal, with Manchester City operating tirelessly to operate Ederson, who is likely to depart. Pep Guardiola’s side do not want to postpone the deal till the next transfer window and want the Azzurri star right away, despite his obvious weaknesses on the ball and in the air.
