Manchester City are ready to offer John Stones a new contract.
The Daily Star says Stones' resurgence at Manchester City is set to land him a new contract.
The England man has regained his place in Pep Guardiola's first-team after the best part of a year stuck on the fringes.
And that timely return to form - Stones has started the last four Premier League games - has convinced the club's hierarchy he is worth keeping in the long-term.
The ex-Everton and Barnsley star, 26. will have a year left on his current deal when this season ends.
At the start of the campaign, Stones' future at the Etihad looked bleak as he struggled to even get a look-in under Guardiola.
However, the £47.5million centre-half, who has also been left out by England boss Gareth Southgate over the last 16 months, has fought back to become a vital part of City's mean rearguard.
