Manchester City look to bring a former Women’s Super League talent back to England.
According to a report from Wolfsburg-based outlet WAZ Sport, the English club eyes a move for Jill Roord.
The 26-year-old Netherlands international previously played for Arsenal before making her return to the Frauen Bundesliga.
After finishing fourth last season, Manchester City reportedly want to strengthen their squad to compete with the WSL’s other top clubs.
They are subsequently willing to spend between €300-400k for the player which is slightly less than the current transfer record in women’s football. (Keira Walsh from City to Barcelona for just over £400k).
Roord previously made 33 WSL appearances for the Gunners (nine goals and three assists) and recently helped Wolfsburg reach the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
