Kevin de Bruyne continues to go from strength to strength as Manchester City close in on a fourth straight Premier League title.
The playmaker proved the difference again as the reigning champions opened the scoring in Tuesday’s must-win clash at Tottenham.
Erling Haaland tapped home De Bruyne’s cutback early in the second half to put Pep Guardiola’s side on course to reclaim top spot.
In doing so, the Belgium international leapfrogged Cesc Fàbregas for the most all-time assists in the English top flight.
He is now just 50 off equalling Ryan Giggs for record, a feat which took the Manchester United legend 22 years to rack up.
At the current rate, De Bruyne will probably reach it in half the time!
