In a recent report, journalists Daniel Feliciano and Dean Jones claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Manchester City winger Savinho. It is believed that Spurs are eager to get a deal done for the Brazilian wide player this summer.

Savinho’s Impressive Run Of Form In The Premier League

Savinho enjoyed a decent campaign at the Mancunian club recently as he was responsible for putting in a handful of influential displays for them in the final third. The 21-year-old found the back of the net three times and earned 13 assists in 48 matches for Man City last season across all competitions.

The Brazilian sensation was a reliable contributor in the opposition half after he averaged 2.8 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 38.2% of his attempts on target. Savinho distributed the ball relatively well after completing 80.8% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Is Savinho A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can engineer a few promising chances for others around him on the offensive third of the pitch.

The Brazilian sensation is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also perform as a left-winger or play as an attacking midfielder down the middle if required. He has already got some experience in the Premier League and is well-equipped to make an instant impact at Tottenham if they can find a way to snap him up this summer.

Savinho would add more pace and firepower to Spurs boss Thomas Frank’s frontline. He might even help the North London club secure a European spot in the Premier League next season.

At 21, Savinho has the potential to be a future star in the Premier League as long as he continues to progress with each year. Therefore, he would be a great fit for Tottenham’s needs in the long run.
