Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan says all the players are raring to go against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.

City take on the Hammers on Wednesday in Round Four, hoping to progress to the next stage of the competition.

The defending champions know they will not have an easy time against David Moyes' West Ham side.

Speaking ahead of the game with the club website, Gundogan said: "Yes, we are looking forward to it.

"It's game by game, there's not really much of a break between the games (but that is) kind of good as well.

"At the end of the day, we are competitors and want to play as much as possible.

"We're going from competition to competition and now it's onto the next one."

"It's a tough game, an away game but I'm sure we'll be ready," he added.

"We will try our best to win that game and proceed as far as possible again in that competition."
