Manchester City are interested in signing Real Betis left-back Júnior Firpo from Real Betis.
According to El Confidencial, City would have to activate a €60m release clause to land the defender.
It is understood manager Pep Guardiola has asked scouts for information on the 22-year-old.
Considered one of the most exciting prospects in Spain, Firpo, who was born in the Dominican Republic, can also operate at centre-back.
Firpo has made 15 appearances for the Betis first-team in 2o18, scoring twice.
City currently boast Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph at left-back though the latter is primarily a central midfielder.
