The Cityzens are reportedly keeping a close eye on Camavinga’s situation at Santiago Bernabeu, with reports suggesting the Spanish giants are open to selling the French midfielder this summer.

Camavinga is valued at €80 million (£67m) on Transfermarkt, but reports suggest Los Blancos will consider bids of around €70m (£59m).

The 22-year-old has suffered recurring injury issues this season, making just 25 appearances across all competitions, and speculation about his future is growing.

The player hasn’t shown any interest in leaving Madrid this summer, but that hasn’t stopped City from adding him to their wishlist.

However, the Premier League champions could face serious competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also keen on the France international midfielder.

Camavinga joined Madrid from Stade Rennais in 2021 and has since made over 170 appearances for Los Blancos.

He has won 11 titles with the Spanish giants during that time, including two La Liga and Champions League titles.

However, injuries have hampered his involvement this season.

Camavinga featured in Madrid’s Champions League last 16 first-leg bout against capital rivals Atletico Madrid but was taken off just after the hour mark.

Before that, he had fallen behind Dani Ceballos in the pecking order, though the Spaniard’s injury paves the way for him to reclaim his spot in the squad.

City view Camavinga as a key signing as their squad rebuild takes shape, and he could be the ideal partner for Rodri at the base of Pep Guardiola’s midfield.

He’s versatile enough to operate as a deep-lying playmaker or in a box-to-box role. He could also slot in as a makeshift left-back when required.

However, they’d have to fend off competition from PSG, although Madrid’s reported interest in Joao Neves could tip the scales in favour of the French champions.
