Major League Soccer is back on 2 March and Atlanta United are ready to defend their title!

The 2019 season will run through 6 October, with the MLS Cup post-season commencing on 19 October.

The MLS Cup final will take place on 10 November at the home of the side with the better regular-season record.

Each club will play 34 matches – 17 at home and 17 on the road. Teams will face each of their conference opponents twice during the regular season while they face their non-conference opponents once.


Key dates!

  • FC Cincinnati will face Seattle Sounders on the road on 2 March in their first match in MLS history.
  • FCC will host their first MLS match against Portland Timbers on 17 March.
  • Minnesota United’s brand new Allianz Field will debut on 13 April when the Loons take on NYCFC.
  • The MLS season will be put on hold from 14 June to 21 June during the first week of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
  • The 2019 MLS All-Star Game will take place in Orlando, Florida on 31 July.
  • Atlanta United and Portland Timbers will face off in a 2018 MLS Cup re-match on 18 August in Portland.
  • Rivalry Week will take place from 21 August to 25 August.
  • Decision Day, the final day of the regular season, will take place on 6 October with all 24 teams in action.
