Pierre Sage will be looking for a reaction from his Lyon side following their disappointing defeat to 5th-tier FC Bourgoin-Jallieu on penalties in the Coupe de France. As they welcome Toulouse in Ligue 1 action on Saturday, there is an opportunity for quick redemption.
L’Équipe reports that the OL boss is set to make four changes to his side that suffered a shocking defeat last time out in the cup. Three of these changes are set to take place in defence. At full-back, Nicolás Tagliafico and Clinton Mata are set to replace Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Abner Vinicius.
Duje Ćaleta-Car is set to replace Warmed Omari, who deputised in the cup, at the heart of the defence. Rayan Cherki is set to adopt a more attacking role in the side and will, therefore, vacate a spot in midfield. This spot in midfield should be taken by Jordan Veretout. New signing Thiago Almada is available to make his debut and is expected to start from the bench.
Lucas Perri – Clinton Mata, Duje Ćaleta-Car, Moussa Niakhaté, Nicolás Tagliafico – Nemanja Matić, Corentin Tolisso, Jordan Veretout – Rayan Cherki, Georges Mikautadze, Malick Fofana.
